Why do the Novelties containing chocolate coatings have trace amounts of dairy?
Due to the nature of chocolate manufacturing, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee 100% that no trace amount of dairy ingredients are present when non-dairy chocolate formulations are produced on shared equipment. Every batch of chocolate is lab tested to detect the presence of trace amounts of dairy. If more than a trace amount is detected, the chocolate is rejected. We can only “guarantee” the products to be dairy-free down to a level of .5%. If an individual is allergic to the presence of even trace amounts of dairy (parts per million), it is our advice that this person avoid the Soy Dream Frozen Dessert Novelty products containing chocolate coatings.
What are the advantages to eating Soy Dream Frozen products vs. dairy-based dessert?

What is the change in the Lil’ Dreamers?
Due to the unavailability of “organic safflower oil”, the ingredients have been modified slightly to reflect “expeller pressed organic soybean oil and/or organic canola oil and/or organic safflower oil”.
Can Soy Dream Frozen be used by people who are lactose intolerant?
Yes. Soy Dream Frozen Desserts contain no dairy ingredients.
Are the chocolate flavors made with dairy chocolate?
No. The chocolate flavors are made with pure cocoa powder and pure non-dairy chocolate from cocoa beans.
Is Soy Dream Frozen gluten-free?
All Soy Dream pint and quart flavors are gluten-free except for Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Novelties are not gluten-free.
Is it certified Kosher?

What kinds of sweeteners are used in Soy Dream Frozen desserts?
After considering a variety of sweeteners, we found that cane juice far exceeds other sweeteners, and gives Soy Dream Frozen Desserts a superior sweetness, taste, and texture. The cane juice contains no artificial additives or preservatives; is certified kosher, with no animal by-products used anywhere in the process.
