Which of your frozen dessert products are completely dairy free?
Our basic line of Rice Dream Frozen Dessert products is completely free of dairy ingredients. However, a number of our items and flavors contain added chocolate or carob coatings, chips, coated almonds or peanuts.
Our supplier, like most confection companies, is a facility that also produces chocolate that contains dairy. Due to the nature of chocolate manufacturing and cleanup, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee 100% that no trace amount of dairy ingredients is present when non-dairy chocolate formulations are produced. No dairy ingredients of any kind are added to any non-dairy chocolate or carob product that they make for us, or sell themselves.
Are Rice Dream Frozen Desserts run on shared equipment with nuts and peanuts?
Imagine Foods produces close to 30 flavors of Rice Dream Frozen Desserts. Several of the flavors (see list above) contain nuts. The state of the art equipment at our plant is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between every production run. Since we are aware of the severe allergies many people have to nuts, we run all the flavors containing nuts at the end of any production run. This means that no nuts are introduced into the processing system before or during the time all other flavors without nuts are manufactured.

How are the Rice Dream Frozen Desserts sweetened?
Rice Dream frozen products are made from rice by natural enzyme hydrolysis. The sweetness is from this process, no sugar is added.
Why did Rice Dream change its packaging?
We thought that our old packaging made us look a little outdated. We wanted to add a little more color and fun to our packaging, and most of all, we wanted the packaging to reflect the delicious flavor inside the container.
Please note that with the change in packaging, some of the formulas had been changed to improve the consistency and the taste of Rice Dream Frozen Desserts and Novelties.
